TECH GUIDE
Wine storage
Proper storage determines whether a wine reaches its potential or deteriorates prematurely. Temperature, humidity, light and position are key parameters.
Temperature
Ideal temperature is 10-15°C (50-59°F), with optimum around 12-13°C. Sudden changes are more damaging than a stable slightly higher temperature.
Humidity and cork integrity
Relative humidity should stay between 60% and 80%. Too dry can shrink the cork; too humid promotes mould on labels.
Bottle position and light
Natural cork bottles should be stored horizontally. Avoid direct light; prefer dark or low-intensity LED lighting.
